Lynell Williams serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Agnes Scott College, holding a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Georgia alongside dual degrees from Georgia Southern University.

Dr. Williams' research centers on ADHD in Black women through Black Feminist Thought and Intersectionality frameworks, examining perfectionism in high-achieving women and systemic barriers to mental health access. Her groundbreaking dissertation explored late ADHD diagnosis in Black women, directly informing her clinical practice and advocacy for marginalized communities.
