Lyndsey Ackerman

Lyndsey Ackerman is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University (QMU), affiliated with the DNBSPPR Division. She holds a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy (1998, Sheffield Hallam University) and an MSc in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Studies (2010, University of Bradford). Her clinical career includes roles in NHS and private sectors, specializing in Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics and chronic pain management.

Research focuses on neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy, factors influencing transition from acute to chronic pain, and tendinopathy. She employs quantitative methods including Delphi studies, audits, and service evaluations. Current pursuit of a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education aims to strengthen her teaching credentials.
