Dr. Lynda Rodwell is an Associate Professor in Ecological Economics at the University of Plymouth's School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, affiliated with the Centre for Marine and Coastal Policy Research. She holds a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on sustainable development, marine conservation, and the interplay between marine ecosystems and human activities, particularly in fisheries management, coastal policy, and renewable energy integration. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to Life Below Water and Sustainable Cities.
Her teaching emphasizes ecological economics principles, including sustainable scale, equitable resource distribution, and environmental efficiency. She leads modules such as Economics of the Marine Environment and Global Environmental Solutions.
