Lynda Colgan

Lynda Colgan is a Professor at Queen's University's Faculty of Education and Coordinator of the Community Outreach Centre since January 2009. Her work focuses on mathematics curriculum innovation, teacher support, and public engagement in STEM. She holds a PhD in Computer Applications in Mathematics Curriculum (1992) from OISE, alongside degrees in Education and Biology/Mathematics from the University of Toronto.

Her research emphasizes early career mathematics teacher support, parental involvement in education, and alternative curriculum designs. She co-created the children’s TV show The Prime Radicals and authored the award-winning book Mathemagic.
