Lyn Griffiths

Distinguished Professor Lyn Griffiths is a molecular geneticist at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), leading the Genomics Research Centre (GRC) and serving as Director of the Centre for Genomics and Personalised Health. She holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney. Her work focuses on identifying genes linked to chronic diseases like migraine, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions, with a translational emphasis on diagnostics and therapeutics. She directs industry programs like MTP Connect and BridgeTech, promoting commercialization of medical research. Key achievements include diagnostic breakthroughs for neurogenetic disorders, three granted patents, and over $57M in research funding.
