Lydia Kallhoff

Lydia Kallhoff, PhD, CCC-SLP, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She specializes in neurogenic communication disorders, with a focus on aphasia, apraxia of speech, and language processing deficits in adult patients.

• Earned MS in Speech-Language Pathology (2020) and PhD (2025) at the University of Utah
• Clinical experience in skilled nursing facilities (2021-present)
• Teaching graduate courses in aphasia and cognitive-communication disorders
• Directs aphasia and Parkinson’s support groups
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English

Her research combines EEG/ERP technology with single-subject design to investigate language processing deficits in aphasia patients, aiming to develop targeted treatments for reading comprehension challenges.
