Luís Lóia is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the School of Human Sciences (Universidade Católica Portuguesa). He coordinates the BA Program in Philosophy and serves as Editor of the International Journal of Philosophy and Social Values. His academic background includes a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Porto, an M.A. in Political Science, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Católica.
Research interests span political theory, ethics, social-political philosophy, and global governance. He explores themes like democracy crises, political participation, and the interplay between mythology and modern thought. His work bridges classical philosophy with contemporary societal challenges, including digital ethics and AI implications.
