Luo Li serves as an Assistant Professor in Law at Coventry Law School, Coventry University, teaching intellectual property law, international trade law, and international business law to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She holds a Doctorate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London (2009-2013), an MA in Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne (2007-2008), and an LLB in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law (2002-2006). Her academic credentials are complemented by a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education from Coventry University (2015-2016).
Dr. Li maintains interdisciplinary research interests spanning intellectual property law, cultural heritage protection, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence regulation. Her current work focuses on AI applications in creative industries and their implications for intellectual property frameworks, with particular attention to intangible cultural heritage preservation in the digital age. She actively investigates copyright challenges in AI-generated content, digital music protection, and fashion design law within evolving technological landscapes.
Her research portfolio demonstrates significant engagement with artificial intelligence and intellectual property intersections, reflected in recent publications addressing UK AI copyright policy, dance sector impacts, and cultural heritage preservation. Dr. Li's work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through legal frameworks supporting cultural sustainability and technological equity. She has secured substantial research funding including a €2.1 million project from Germany's Federal Ministry of Education and Research (2021-2024) on Cultural Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation in Africa and Asia.
