Luming Wang is a Professor at the College of Foreign Languages, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), and concurrently holds a Visiting Professor position at the Institute of Psychology, University of Tartu, Estonia. His research focuses on neurocognitive models of language processing, using EEG techniques to study cross-linguistic variations in sentence/discourse processing and second language learning. He has held academic positions since 2006, including postdoctoral research at the Universities of Marburg and Mainz in Germany, and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig.
Education: Doctor's Degree (2011), University of Leipzig; Master's Degree (2006), Tohoku University, Japan. Research interests include neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and cross-linguistic studies. Notable awards include the Qianjiang Talent Program (2017) and a summa cum laude doctorate (2011).
Grants include a National Social Science Foundation project (2023–2027) on Chinese information structure processing, and a 2019–2021 study on second language learning mechanisms. His work bridges neurocognitive data with linguistic typology, emphasizing EEG-based insights across languages like Japanese, German, and Estonian.
Publications span 15+ peer-reviewed articles and books, focusing on ERP experiments, language perception, and second language acquisition. Current projects explore native language influence on foreign language learning through neurophysiological methods.
