Ming Xiang

Ming Xiang is the David B. and Clara E. Stern Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. She holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University (2005) and has been teaching at UChicago since 2010. Her research investigates the processing and neural mechanisms underlying real-time construction of linguistic representations, focusing on sentence processing across syntax, semantics, and discourse comprehension. Recent collaborative work explores how language processing influences language change.
