Lulu Shi

Lulu Shi is a Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), University of Oxford, working on the DomesticAI project and leading a British Academy-funded study on educational technology (EdTech).

• Research Interests: Digital Sociology, Sociology of Education, Work and Employment, Organisation Studies, Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technology.

Her work explores the transformation of paid and unpaid labor in the age of AI and robotics, as well as the socio-political dynamics of EdTech firms in shaping education systems. She designs cross-national harmonised factorial survey experiments as part of DomesticAI, leveraging comparative methodologies from her doctoral research on labor markets and skills formation systems.

Lulu collaborates with interdisciplinary teams at the OII, focusing on the societal implications of technological advancements in work and education.
