Luke Meier serves as Professor of Law at Baylor Law School, specializing in federal courts jurisdiction and civil procedure. He received his J.D. with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Texas Law Review. Following a clerkship with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, he practiced civil litigation with Vinson & Elkins and the Texas Attorney General's Office before entering academia.
His scholarship critically examines procedural doctrines including summary judgment standards, pleading requirements, and jurisdictional analysis. Recent publications investigate the interplay between probability theory and judicial decision-making frameworks in civil litigation. Meier has been recognized three times as Professor of the Year for his teaching excellence.
