Dr. Lukas K. Danner is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Politics & International Relations at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs. He serves as Research Associate at the Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence and Fulbright-NSF Arctic Research Scholar at the University of Iceland's Centre for Arctic Studies.
His research explores:
- Security studies and conflict resolution
- Environmental politics in polar regions
- Foreign policy of small states
- Geopolitical dynamics in Europe, Asia and the Arctic
Publications focus on geopolitical strategy, international relations theory, and migration economics, with recent work examining Indo-Pacific power dynamics and EU-Asia relations.
