Luisa Klaus is a Lecturer in Musicology and Cultural History at Bremen University of the Arts and Scientific Associate at the Sophie Drinker Institute. Her academic appointments include doctoral studies at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and a visiting research position at Hebrew University of Jerusalem through the Minerva Foundation.
Her research spans Reception History of Early Music, Historical Performance Practice, and Transcultural Music Studies, with particular focus on Edith Gerson-Kiwi's work and German-Jewish intellectual history. She examines how cultural intersections shape musical epistemologies through frameworks of gender, migration, and postcolonial theory.
