Luisa Corna is a Lecturer in Visual Culture at the University of the West of England, Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries, and Education. She holds a PhD, MA, and BA (hons), with research intersecting politics, art, and architectural theory.
Research Focus: Her work explores feminist epistemologies in art history, Marxist urban analysis (especially post-war Italy), and materialist criticism. Current research examines art’s relationship to reproductive time politics. Key projects include co-editing the first English anthology of Carla Lonzi’s writings (Feminist in Revolt, 2024) and co-editing Struggles in the Concrete (2025), which reinterprets Marxist frameworks in architecture.
Publication Trends: Her recent works cluster around feminist critiques of institutional power in art/architecture, Marxist urban analysis, and materialist methodologies.
