Luis Ortega Paz

Luis Ortega Paz, M.D., Ph.D., is an academic cardiologist affiliated with the UF Health Cardiovascular Center and the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville. Previously trained at the Cardiovascular Institute of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, he focuses on clinical trials, platelet biology, and acute coronary syndromes.

Research Interests: His work centers on antiplatelet therapy, intracoronary devices, and acute coronary syndromes, with over 110 peer-reviewed publications and five book chapters. His research trends align with translational cardiovascular studies and clinical event adjudication.
