Christian Julian Mussap

Associate Professor Christian Julian Mussap is a Senior Staff Specialist and Interventional Cardiologist at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and associate fellowship with the American College of Cardiology. His clinical research focuses on endovascular intervention, coronary CT imaging, and outcomes following therapy for acute coronary syndromes.

• Educated with a PhD in vasoactive neuropeptide pharmacology from UNSW
• Director of Postgraduate Training (Cardiology) and Director of Advanced Training (Hospital) at Liverpool Hospital
• Principal investigator for multicentre international clinical trials, including the GLAGOV and CARAT Trials

His contributions to academia include supervising ILP and PhD students, serving as Associate Editor for the Journal of Interventional Cardiology, and peer-reviewing for journals such as Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Eurointervention, and Heart Lung and Circulation. Dr. Mussap has published approximately 30 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored review articles, and written book chapters.
