Luis Flores is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with cross-appointments at the Centre for Neuroscience Studies (Queen's University) and Clinical Program (Queen's). He holds a C. Psych. license in Ontario and directs the READY Lab, focusing on interpersonal dynamics in depression.

- Social and interpersonal factors in depression
- Cognitive-affective benefits of social emotion regulation
- Social and reward neural circuitries in emerging adults (ages 18-29)
Grants from SSHRC and NSERC support studies on daily goal striving, social emotion regulation, and psychotherapy training trends. Ongoing projects include surveys on undergraduate research barriers and collaborations with the Queen's Psychology Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.
