Luigi Lacchè is a full professor of medieval and modern legal history at the University of Macerata's Department of Law. He holds the academic rank of Professor (GIUR-16/A) and has been affiliated with the university since 1992. Previously, he served as Rector of the University of Macerata from 2010 to 2016. His research focuses on constitutional history, medieval legal systems, and the intersection of law and political thought. Lacchè is President of the Centro Internazionale di Studi Gentiliani and Vice-President of the Società Italiana di Storia del Diritto. His work includes extensive contributions to legal historiography, book reviews, and editorial roles in journals like Giornale di Storia Costituzionale.
Education: Laurea in Giurisprudenza (University of Macerata) and PhD in Storia (University of Perugia). His academic mentor was Prof. Mario Sbriccoli.
