Dr. Lucy Montague is a Senior Lecturer at Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), renowned for her expertise in high streets and urban regeneration. She co-authored the influential book High Street: How Our Town Centres Can Bounce Back from the Retail Crisis (2023), which examines the evolution of UK town centres and proposes adaptive strategies for recovery. Her groundbreaking research project Tales from the High Street (2019-2023) secured a £100k Built Environment Fellowship from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. In 2024, she served as a Parliamentary Special Advisor to the House of Lords Built Environment Select Committee, contributing to the report High Streets: Life Beyond Retail?
