Lucy Ayrton is a novelist, poet, and Departmental Lecturer in Lifelong Learning (Creative Writing) at the Department for Continuing Education, Oxford University. She also serves as a module leader at the London College of Creative Media, teaching creative writing at all levels up to undergraduate. Her work focuses on themes of class, marginalized groups, and inclusivity in creative writing pedagogy.

Research and Teaching Interests include character development, narrative structure, and the intersection of identity with fiction writing. She is particularly invested in inclusive creative writing pedagogy.
Notable Works include her novels One More Chance (2018) and Things We Lose In Waves (2023), with a third due in 2027. Her performance poetry shows, such as Lullabies To Make Your Children Cry and The Storm Torn Coast, have been showcased at major festivals.
