Dr Lucy Atkinson is a Research Fellow in Education Research at the Department of Education, University of York. She is affiliated with the University of York Science Education Group (UYSEG). Her work focuses on reviewing science teaching practices (BEST), developing interdisciplinary classroom resources, and advancing education for sustainability through climate change-related initiatives.
Her research interests include innovative pedagogical approaches, teacher professional development, and curriculum design that bridges disciplinary boundaries. She collaborates on projects promoting evidence-based science education and environmental sustainability in educational settings.
