Lucy Allbaugh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Dayton, College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Miami University (2017), an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University (2009), and a B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State University (2006). Prior to joining UD in 2018, she completed a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency in Health Service Psychology at Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Health System.

Dr. Allbaugh's research explores predictors of risk and resilience among adult survivors of childhood maltreatment. Her work investigates resilience phenomenology, relational outcomes post-trauma, and strategies to address treatment barriers in community settings. She emphasizes implementation science and trauma-sensitive interventions, particularly for marginalized populations.
Her selected publications highlight trends in trauma research, including childhood maltreatment dynamics, revictimization patterns, and community-based interventions like trauma-sensitive yoga. She also examines advocacy frameworks for behavioral health professionals in public sectors and the interplay between repetitive thought, posttraumatic growth, and distress.
Dr. Allbaugh teaches graduate courses in clinical psychology and health psychology and contributes to interdisciplinary social sciences education. Her presentations focus on coping styles, emotional regulation, and posttraumatic outcomes, reflecting her commitment to trauma-informed care.
