Dr. Lucinda Allen Mosher is a Professor of Interreligious Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, where she directs the MA in Interreligious Studies program. She serves as a Research Fellow at Georgetown University's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and is affiliated with the Duncan Black Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations. Dr. Mosher also holds editorial and leadership roles as senior editor of the Journal of Interreligious Studies and president of the Association of Interreligious/Interfaith Studies.
Her research focuses on the intersection of comparative theology and the arts, with extensive publications examining theological and ethical themes across Christian and Muslim traditions. She specializes in online learning pedagogy and curriculum development in interreligious education.
Dr. Mosher's academic work spans topics like human dignity, mercy, grace, freedom, and prayer, engaging in comparative analyses of monotheistic traditions. Her publications include the 2025 volume Mercy and Grace, which explores theological responses to social challenges across faiths.
As an award-winning editor and scholar, she has contributed to advancing interfaith dialogue through her leadership in the Building Bridges Seminar and editorial stewardship. Dr. Mosher earned her Th.D. from General Theological Seminary in New York City.
She actively participates in international academic dialogues, including moderating the 2025 3rd Sacred Languages Symposium: Human Dignity, and maintains ongoing collaborations through the Duncan Black Macdonald Center and the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies.
