Dr. Lucille Byno is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marriage & Family Therapy at Antioch University. Her research and practice focus on systemic mindfulness in therapy and supervision, relationship dynamics, sexuality in relationships, and therapist wellness. She actively engages students in personal growth and professional development within progressive therapeutic frameworks.
- PhD in Counseling from Florida State University, where her dissertation explored emerging adults' sexual behaviors and the influence of parental attitudes.
- Post Master’s Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy, MS in Sociology, and BS in Psychology from Valdosta State University and East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Byno serves as an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and co-chairs the Education Committee for the New Hampshire Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Her teaching includes courses like Postmodern Family Therapy, Human Sexuality & Sex Therapy, and Appraisal and Assessment in MFT, emphasizing ethical practice and social justice.
