Lucia D’Errico

Lucia D’Errico is a Professor for Artistic Research at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Her work bridges artistic practice and transdisciplinary research, with a focus on experimental music, performance, and philosophy. She contributed to the ERC-funded project “MusicExperiment21” under Dr. Paulo de Assis and established a multidisciplinary doctoral program at her institution.

Her research explores concepts like 'divergent performances,' 'rhopophony,' 'techniques of minoration,' and the 'knowledge rift,' while interrogating post-structuralist ideas from Lacan, Blanchot, Deleuze, Guattari, and Žižek. She critiques teleological temporalities and investigates the intersection of artistic practice with political and epistemological frameworks.

Her work challenges traditional music performance paradigms through transdisciplinary methods, integrating philosophy, visual arts, and semiotics. Current research includes machinic ontologies and the suspension of representational logics in art.
