Geraldine Cassidy serves as Senior Lecturer in Classical Singing at Leeds College of Music, where she has been a core faculty member since 2015. A distinguished soprano with an international performance career spanning major European opera houses including the Vienna State Opera, Salzburg Landestheater, and Theater Basel, she brings extensive practical expertise to her pedagogical role.
Her academic foundation includes:

- Vocal scholarship at Dublin College of Music
- Advanced training at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London)
- Studies at Hochschule für Musik (Munich)
- Studies at Mozarteum (Salzburg)
Specializing in classical vocal performance and interpretation, Cassidy's expertise encompasses Baroque to contemporary repertoire with particular mastery of Mozart, Verdi, and Strauss roles. Her teaching philosophy integrates historical performance practice with technical precision, focusing on developing expressive artistry in undergraduate and postgraduate classical music students.
Cassidy has maintained a significant educational presence beyond the classroom, having instructed 25-30 regular pupils across France and Switzerland between 1998-2015 and conducting masterclasses under "Mission Voix, Alsace". She recently demonstrated leadership as Artistic Co-Ordinator for the innovative cross-disciplinary project "Orfeo...can you hear me?" involving Leeds College of Music vocalists and Northern School of Contemporary Dance performers.
