Lucia A. Leone, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior within the School of Public Health and Health Professions at University at Buffalo. Her research focuses on addressing disparities in cancer and obesity prevention through community-based interventions.

Dr. Leone specializes in multi-level interventions to improve access to healthy food and physical activity opportunities for underserved populations. Her work includes:

- Collaborating with YMCA on exercise programs for women with obesity

- Evaluating WIC program grocery shopping experiences
