Cathy Stough

Cathy Stough is an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in pediatric psychology. She directs the Healthy Bearcat Families Lab, focusing on obesity prevention in young children and health equity through community-engaged approaches. Her research examines child eating behaviors, nutrition interventions, and disparities in underserved populations, supported by NIH and USDA funding.

Education includes a PhD in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas, an MA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Dayton, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.

Research interests center on early childhood obesity prevention, health disparities, and community-based interventions. Dr. Stough develops evidence-based programs targeting food access, caregiver education, and equitable health outcomes, with emphasis on infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in at-risk communities.
