Dr. Lucas Miotto is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Surrey's Surrey Law School, specializing in legal philosophy, applied ethics, and criminal law. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and a Research Master’s from PUC-Rio, Brazil. His research focuses on the ethics of legal coercion, digital manipulation, and global health justice. Previously, he taught at Maastricht University and Leeds Beckett University, and held a visiting fellowship at Brown University.
