معرفی
Lucas Hackl is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, jointly appointed in the School of Mathematics and Statistics and the School of Physics. His research sits at the intersection of quantum information, quantum field theory, and gravity, with a focus on the mathematical structures underlying spacetime and quantum systems.
Education:
- PhD in Physics, Pennsylvania State University (2018)
- MSc in Physics (Perimeter Scholars International), University of Waterloo & Perimeter Institute (2012)
- BSc in Physics, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2011)
Research Interests:
Dr. Hackl's work explores the deep mathematical foundations of quantum theory and general relativity, particularly in the context of quantum information in spacetime. His contributions include theoretical frameworks for understanding entanglement, quantum fields in curved spacetime, and the emergence of spacetime from quantum information.
Grants & Awards:
- Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA), Australian Research Council (2022)
- Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2020)
- Penn State Alumni Association Dissertation Award (2018)
- Brazil-US Exchange Fellowship, American Physical Society (2017)
- Peter Eklund Award for Scientific Communication (2017)
- Participant, 66th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (2016)
Affiliations & Group:
He is an active member of the Mathematical Physics Research Group at the University of Melbourne and is supported by the QISS Consortium (Quantum Information Structure of Spacetime).
