Prof. Michael J. Hartmann is a full professor at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg, leading the Chair for Quantum Theory. He holds positions at the Institute of Theoretical Physics and the Chair of Theoretical Physics II. His career includes roles as an associate professor at Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh (2013–2019), Emmy Noether grant recipient at Technical University Munich (2008–2013), and a Feodor-Lynen Fellow at Imperial College London (2005–2008). He obtained his PhD from the University of Stuttgart in 2005 after studying physics at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich.
