Dr. Luca Pasquet is an Assistant Professor of Public International Law at Utrecht University School of Law's Department of International and European Law. He is also a Researcher at the Utrecht Centre for Accountability and Liability Law (UCALL). His expertise spans Public International Law, Human Rights, International Organizations, and Legal Theory, with a focus on the European Convention on Human Rights and Judicial Review. Pasquet holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and has held postdoctoral positions at the Global Governance Centre and the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg. His research emphasizes Institutions for Open Societies, Contesting Governance, and Security in Open Societies.
His recent academic activities include organizing conferences on human rights accountability and immunity issues, presenting on topics like the Holy See's legal accountability and international judicial aesthetics, and contributing to editorial boards such as the SIDIBlog and the International Law Association's committee on diplomatic immunities.
