Luca Oneto

Luca Oneto (born 1986 in Rapallo, Italy) is a Full Professor in Computer Engineering at the University of Genoa. He previously held positions as Assistant Professor (2016-2019) and Associate Professor (2019-2024) at the same institution, alongside an Associate Professor role in Computer Science at the University of Pisa (2019). His academic journey began with a BSc and MSc in Electronic Engineering (2008, 2010) and a PhD in Computer Engineering (2014) from the University of Genoa.

His research focuses on Statistical Learning Theory and Trustworthy AI, with applications in data science and real-world problem-solving via machine learning. He has coordinated industrial, H2020, and Horizon Europe projects, and received prestigious recognitions such as the
