Dr. Lua Perimal-Lewis is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Health at Flinders University, affiliated with the College of Science and Engineering and the Flinders Digital Health Research Centre. Her work focuses on leveraging digital health technologies to support an ageing society.

Her research spans health informatics, biostatistics, data science, process mining, and stochastic modelling in health, with specific emphasis on dementia care, hospital patient flow, and digital health interventions. Recent publications address arts therapies for visual impairment, care biographies in nursing philosophy, and conversational agents for traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
Notable awards include the Ian Potter Foundation grant (2023), Parkinson’s SA grants (2021, 2020), and the ECR Kickstart Grant (2020). She has participated in international collaborations with institutions like TU Dresden and the University of West Attica.
