Loïc Lemiègre is an Associate Professor at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR), where he has been active since 2005. His email is loic.lemiegre@ensc-rennes.fr, and his office is located at ENSC-Rennes Office 2.15.
- PhD in Organic Chemistry from University of Rouen (2002), supervised by Dr. Jacques Maddaluno and Prof. Jean-Claude Combret
- Postdoctoral research at The University of Tokyo (2002-2004) with Prof. Eiichi Nakamura on fullerene chemistry
- Postdoctoral research at The University of Manchester (2004-2005) with Prof. Jonathan Clayden on molecular helices
Research Interests: His work focuses on the synthesis and self-assembly of sugar-based amphiphilic molecules into hydrogels and organogels, as well as biobased polymer materials derived from vegetable oil. Collaborations with the Institute of Physics of Rennes (IPR) enable full characterization of soft materials using techniques like SEM, TEM, SAXS, and rheology.
Leadership Roles:
- Head of the education program at ENSCR (2023–present)
- Member of the executive board of ENSCR (2014–present)
- Quality Management (ISO 9001) for the research process at ENSCR (2022–present)
- Head of the CORINT-ENSCR Team (2022–2024)
- Supervisor of teaching labs at ENSCR (2015–2023)
Collaborations: Works with Dr. Jean-Luc Audic on biobased polymer projects and maintains a partnership with the Institute of Physics of Rennes for material characterization.
