معرفی
Louise Natrajan is a Reader in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Manchester since 2013. She holds affiliations with the Dalton Nuclear Institute and Photon Science Institute. Her roles include Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Awardee (2013-2018) and EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellow (2009-2013). She earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Nottingham (2003) and an MChem from the University of York (1999).
Her research focuses on coordination chemistry and spectroscopy of f-elements, particularly actinides in unusual oxidation states. Key objectives include stabilizing actinide oxidation states and applying luminescence spectroscopy for environmental speciation. She also explores lanthanide complexes for biomedical imaging and platinum-based dyes' two-photon spectroscopy.
Notable awards include the 2023 Wiley Award Lecture and Leverhulme/EPSRC fellowships. She co-organized the 10th International Conference on Nuclear and Radiochemistry (NRC10) and contributed to datasets on crystal structures via the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre. Her group utilizes equipment like the Datech LIBS-LA Instrument and Edinburgh Instruments FLS1000 Fluorimeter, advancing sustainable energy and environmental protection through UN SDG contributions.
