Prof. Louise Meijering is a Professor in Health Geography at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Spatial Sciences, Department of Demography. Her research focuses on well-being, mobility, and place attachment in later life, with interdisciplinary work spanning geography, gerontology, and public health. She leads the ERC-funded Meaningful Mobility project and coordinates the Dutch part of the COORDINATES initiative on dementia-friendly living environments. She holds a PhD from the University of Groningen and has contributed to projects on health literacy (e.g., IROHLA) and stroke rehabilitation (e.g., Coaching in Home & Place Making).
