Louise Graham is a Visiting Teaching Professor at Staffordshire University's School of Health, Science and Wellbeing. She is also a Regional Development Manager at Swim England NE and holds over 30 years of experience in swimming, including a career as an international competitor for Great Britain. Her professional roles have included membership in the GB Coaching Panel, ASA Technical Swimming Committee, and North East Regional Performance Forum, focusing on elite athlete pathway development.
Education: MSc Sports Coaching (Staffordshire University). She has completed advanced coaching programs including the UK Sport Elite Coach Programme (2006-2009) and Para Coach 2 Rio (2014). Her expertise spans Coach Development, Mentorship, and Female Coaching advocacy.
Research interests include gender dynamics in elite coaching and leadership. Her notable publication explores the intersection of gender and coaching careers through autoethnography.
As a coach developer, she supports multiple sports through learning facilitation and has mentored athletes achieving World, Commonwealth, and Paralympic podium finishes. She also holds certifications as a Swimming Coach Tutor and First Aid for Mental Health Instructor.
