Louise Anker Nexø is a PhD Fellow and Research Assistant at Aalborg University's Department of Sociology and Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her research explores online gaming cultures, focusing on toxic gaming behavior, social processes in digital spaces, and interaction dynamics in esports, using video-based and digital qualitative methods. Supervised by Søren Ginnerup Kristiansen (Aalborg University) and Friedolin Merhout (University of Copenhagen), she contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to social conditions and digital interactions.

- Key Research Areas: Online gaming culture, toxic behavior, micro-sociology, cognitive sociology, and digital methods
Her teaching includes lectures on microsociology, netnography, and digital field experiments. Scientific recognition includes the 2023 Fulbright Grant. She collaborates internationally with Rutgers University (2023-2024) and contributes to SocMap research group in sociological mapping.
