Louise Anderson Allen

Dr. Louise Anderson Allen is a Professor of Educational Leadership at South Carolina State University, where she teaches courses in educational administration, curriculum leadership, instructional leadership, and serves as a dissertation director. She has held academic appointments at Texas Tech University, UNC-Charlotte, and Georgia State University.

Education:

• BA (1971) from Francis Marion University
• MAT (1973) from The Citadel
• Ed.D. (1997) from the University of South Carolina

Her research focuses on educational leadership, curriculum leadership, and the role of female leaders in the Progressive Era education system of South Carolina. She has authored/co-authored 47 academic publications, including four books and twelve peer-reviewed journal articles, and has delivered 42 presentations at national and international conferences.
