Chelsey Simmons

Chelsey Simmons is an Assistant Professor affiliated with both the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences and the Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University. She holds a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in curriculum, instruction, and assessment (2022) and maintains a license as a Psychoeducational Specialist in South Carolina.

Her research focuses on trauma-informed educational practices, technology-enhanced coping strategies, and behavioral health interventions for underserved populations. Recent work includes applications of video instruction for safety training in students with intellectual disabilities and post-COVID engagement strategies.
