معرفی
Dr Louis Renoult is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of East Anglia (UEA), affiliated with the School of Psychology, UEA Experimental Philosophy Group, and Cognition, Action and Perception research group. He holds a PhD from McGill University (2010) and completed postdoctoral research at the Rotman Research Institute (Toronto) and the University of Ottawa (2010–2013). His research focuses on cognitive neuroscience of memory, particularly the interplay between semantic and episodic memory across ages, employing EEG and fMRI techniques.
Key research interests include semantic memory, episodic memory, autobiographical memory, aging, and functional neuroimaging. He leads projects funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and Medical Research Council (MRC), including studies on memory temporality, neural correlates of personal semantics, and machine learning applications in time-series analysis.
His work has explored topics like neural distinctions between memory types, the role of semantic richness in memory retrieval, and the impact of aging on self-knowledge processes. Notable publications include a 2019 Trends in Cognitive Sciences paper on the semantic-episodic distinction and a 2023 eLife study on neural correlates of personal semantic memory.
