Louis Major serves as Senior Lecturer in Digital Education at the University of Manchester's Manchester Institute of Education, where he co-leads the Digital Technologies, Communication and Education Research and Scholarship group. His work bridges educational theory and technological innovation with global impact.
His research centers on dialogic foundations for educational technology design, focusing on how digital tools can enhance classroom dialogue and address educational disadvantage. Key methodologies include design-based research and evidence synthesis, with significant fieldwork in low-income countries through the EdTech Hub partnership. His fingerprint reveals dominant expertise in Personalized Learning (100%), Dialogic approaches (74%), and Kenya-based Classroom Practice (100%).
