Lotti Frascoli is a Scientific Associate at the Institute of Art History, University of Zurich, holding a 50% position since April 2013 under the Chair of Prof. Dr. Carola Jäggi. She previously served as a research assistant at the same institution since January 2006 and has been a member of the Scientific Commission for Archaeology of the Canton of Aargau. Her academic background includes a Licentiate in Philosophy (1988) and a Master of Philosophy (1983) in Prehistoric Archaeology from the University of Zurich and University of Oxford, respectively.
- Research Interests: Settlement development (urban/rural), archaeologically visible networks (local/regional/supra-regional), medieval and early modern material culture (ceramic, glass, metal, lava), find evaluation, castle studies, and xenoarchaeology.
- Key Contributions: Development of visual representations and reconstructions of archaeological findings, collaboration on Zurich city wall excavations, and extensive work in ceramic and metal artifact analysis from Winterthur and Zurich.
Publications: Frascoli has contributed to over 15 publications focusing on medieval vessel analysis, urban archaeology, and settlement studies. Her work often intersects with interdisciplinary projects, including museum education programs and exhibitions in Winterthur and Zurich.
