Lot Koopmans is a DPhil Student at University College and a Stipendiary Lecturer in Earth Sciences at Exeter College, University of Oxford. Their research focuses on the formation and evolution of Li-Cs-Ta (LCT) pegmatites, critical sources of lithium for battery technologies.
Research interests include:
- Understanding contested LCT pegmatite formation mechanisms
- Applying geological and structural mapping
- Petrological modeling and trace element geochemistry
- Developing mineral system models for Li-pegmatite deposits
