معرفی
Lillian Kendall-Langley is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia (UWA), affiliated with the School of Earth and Oceans. She concurrently serves as Senior Generative Geologist at SQM International Lithium since January 2023 and previously worked as Senior Geoscientist at RSC Mining & Mineral Exploration (2020-2022). Her expertise spans igneous petrology, geochemistry, and mineral exploration with a focus on intrusion-related mineral systems, particularly Cu-porphyry deposits and pegmatite-related mineralization.
Education: MSc (2016) and PhD (2021) from UWA, both focused on magmatic processes and mineral systems. Her doctoral thesis examined volatile behavior in arc magmas using apatite inclusions in zircon, while her MSc explored rare metal pegmatite fields using trace element and isotopic analyses.
Research interests include petrogenetic mechanisms of magmatic systems, volatile transport in arc magmas, and exploration geology for critical metals. Her work integrates microanalytical techniques to study mineral inclusions and trace element behavior.
Key research outputs include studies on apatite-zircon fertility indicators in porphyry deposits, quantification of fluorine/chlorine in granitic melts, and isotope analysis of pegmatite minerals. She has published in journals like Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology and Lithos.
Her contributions bridge academia and industry, contributing to teaching and research at UWA while advancing applied mineral exploration strategies.
