Dr. Lorna Richardson is a Lecturer in Digital Media & Cultures at the University of East Anglia, specializing in public archaeology and digital heritage. Her research examines how non-experts engage with academic knowledge through digital platforms, from endometriosis support communities to far-right appropriations of archaeology. She co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Archaeology and the Media in the 21st Century and leads projects on feminist film archive metadata and Stonehenge's public perceptions.
Richardson employs participatory methods to challenge expertise hierarchies in heritage practices and promotes ethical digital engagement. She currently investigates heritage's role in addressing environmental challenges and leads the 'Invisible Women' project revolutionizing film archive metadata through feminist frameworks.
