Dr. Lori West serves as Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta, with cross-appointments in Surgery, Medical Microbiology/Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine/Pathology.
Her research integrates pediatric medicine with immunological and surgical disciplines, focusing on:

- HLA antibodies in transplant rejection
- Immunosuppression strategies
- Donor-recipient immune compatibility
- Pediatric organ rejection mechanisms
