Dr. Anne Halpin serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta, where she bridges clinical laboratory science and transplant medicine through advanced histocompatibility research.
Her research program centers on Histocompatibility, ABO-Histocompatibility, Transplantation, and Living Donation, with emphasis on:
- ABO-incompatible organ transplantation protocols
- HLA antibody characterization and desensitization strategies
- Development of novel serological assays for antibody detection
- Outcomes analysis in islet and pancreas transplantation
